Cancellation & Refunds
Our cancellation policy is designed to be straightforward and fair to both you and the partners we work with on your behalf.
1. Memberships
- Cancel at any time from your dashboard. Your tier remains active and billing stops at the end of the current paid month — no prorated refunds for the unused portion of the month.
- If you cancel within 24 hours of your first signup, contact us and we will issue a full refund of your first month, less any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf.
- Annual prepayments (if applicable) are non-refundable after 14 days, but you retain access for the full paid period.
2. Individual bookings — before confirmation
If you cancel a booking before your concierge has confirmed it with the partner, you receive a full refund of any deposit, processed within 5–10 business days.
3. Individual bookings — after confirmation
Once a partner has accepted your booking, the partner's own cancellation window controls the refund. Typical examples:
- Dining reservations: typically cancellable up to 24–48 hours in advance without charge.
- Cybercab rides: cancellable up to 30 minutes before pickup without charge; later cancellations incur the minimum fare.
- Event planning & travel: subject to the venue/vendor terms quoted with your confirmation.
- Home & wellness in-home services: cancellable up to 12 hours in advance; same-day cancellations forfeit 50% of the booking.
Your concierge will always confirm the cancellation window in writing before charging your card for non-refundable services.
4. The Local Link service fee
The arrangement fee portion of any booking is fully refundable up to the moment your concierge begins work on the request. After work has begun, the arrangement fee is non-refundable; partner costs are governed by section 3.
5. Service failures on our side
If we fail to deliver a service we confirmed — through our own error, not a partner's — we will issue a full refund and a credit toward your next month of membership. We take service failures seriously and review every incident with the team.
6. How to cancel
- Membership — sign in, go to your dashboard, and click "Cancel membership". You will receive an email confirmation.
- Individual bookings — reply to your booking confirmation email or call +1 (562) 733-9141. We recommend calling for cancellations within 12 hours of the appointment.
7. Refund timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
8. Disputes
If you believe a charge or denial of refund was made in error, please reach concierge@thelocallink.la before initiating a chargeback. We resolve almost all concerns within one business day.
